Revent Sports welcomes all players
We will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of race, colour, religion or religious belief, ethnic or national origin, nationality, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, military or veteran status, or any other basis protected by applicable local, state, or federal laws. We strictly prohibit harassment of any kind.
Number of players
Each team consists of a maximum of 7 players, and a minimum of 3 females on the field. If a team cannot field the minimum number of 3 women a forfeit will be declared unless team captains and referee agree on an alternate plan. The game will be played for fun regardless of forfeit. Game time is forfeit time. Free substitutions.
Duration of the game
The game is divided into two equal periods of 25 minutes each, with a 2 minute break at half time. If a match is tied after 50 minutes the match is declared a tie.
Slide tackling
Slide tackling is not allowed. We are trying to prevent as many injuries as possible, so any type of sliding in the field of play is absolutely prohibited even if no one else is around.
Offside
Offside is not enforced in the 7v7 leagues.
Player eligibility and registration
Participation in any Revent Sports league, match, tournament, scrimmage or related event is conditioned upon compliance with the following. Every player, including substitute players, must complete the official Revent Sports player registration, pay the applicable player registration fee or substitute player fee before participating, provide accurate and complete personal information, acknowledge the Revent Sports Rules, Terms and Conditions, Waiver and Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement, and wear the official Revent Sports jersey assigned to their team during league play unless otherwise authorised by Revent Sports management.
These requirements exist to help maintain accurate league records, ensure participant eligibility, support insurance requirements, facilitate emergency response procedures, and protect the safety of all participants.
Substitutions
Only eligible rostered players may participate in league matches. Substitute players are permitted only if they have completed all player eligibility requirements prior to the start of the match, including official Revent Sports registration, providing all required participant information, accepting the Rules, Terms and Conditions, Waiver and Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement, and paying the applicable substitute player fee of $15 for insurance and liability.
Player equipment
All players are required to wear their official Revent Sports team jersey, shin guards and appropriate soccer footwear. Goalkeepers must wear colours that clearly distinguish them from both teams and the referee. A player who is not wearing an official Revent Sports jersey or required safety equipment will not be permitted to participate until compliant.
Team uniforms
Each team wears matching official Revent Sports jerseys assigned to their team. Players who register before the applicable registration deadline receive one official Revent Sports jersey during their first season. Team captains are responsible for submitting accurate roster information and jersey sizes by the announced deadline. Replacement jerseys may be purchased through Revent Sports.
Referees
The referee is responsible for control of the game and their decisions regarding facts connected with play are final.
Cards and discipline
A first yellow card is a warning and an indirect kick. The player must come off for 5 minutes and the team can sub in a player, while maintaining at least 3 women on the field. Two yellow cards in one game result in a red card. One red card is ejection from the game and may result in one or more additional game suspensions depending on severity; the team must play the remainder of the game with one less player. Fighting, or responding to a fight in a violent manner, will almost always result in ejection from the league with no refund.
League authority
Revent Sports reserves the sole and absolute right to refuse participation, suspend, remove, or permanently ban any player, substitute, team official or spectator whose conduct, eligibility status, or failure to comply with league policies may compromise the safety, integrity, sportsmanship or operation of the league. League management decisions regarding eligibility, player discipline, rule interpretation and enforcement are final. Participation in Revent Sports is a privilege, not a right.
